Thanks Daniel, that's weird. MX was the first thing I added. It's been a little bit of a goat rodeo because the subdomain and domain are on different servers but the host's software keeps trying to be helpful and automatically "fixing" things.
I went back and re-punched the mx records. Some servers are serving dreamhost and others are serving linode. Not sure if I'm waiting on propagation or if there's some weird fragmentation issue.
Trying to get mariancall.com to go to 173.255.211.206 and I've got an A record set for that. But it feels like I'm pushing back against some of the autoMagic hosting stuff.
Feel free to call me if i can help - yeah, dreamhost is one of the more annoying ones, not counting godaddy's autodiscover interception and 0 level records
That's funny because this is what's on the DreamHost DNS settings right now. I probably need to sort it out with their help folks. I think it's because there's some weird wiggles if your domain is elsewhere but your subdomain is with them.
